Last Saturday we raced in our district race and it had to be one of the most exciting days of racing we have experienced. The individual ranks raced in separate races throughout the day and they would sequester the top three cars in each rank to race in the finals at the end of the day. It was great to see a bunch of dad/son teams really step up their game this year. Every one of the top 18 cars racing in the finals we’re equipped with the latest and greatest parts and were all rail runners. We were the district champs the past 4 years, sometimes beating the field by as much as .05 seconds, and it’s so much more fun racing when it’s not a complete blowout!
As far as my son Zach’s performance, he did really well. He came in second place overall losing in the finals by .0009 seconds to a good friend (3 Wheel Racing) and his son. It was just a matter of time before someone knocked us off the hill and we couldn't have lost to a better team.
Anyway, I just wanted to give a shout out to Jeff and his son Kyle. Congratulations to you guys!!! You two make an awesome build team!!!!!
