Nice job guys, Ian I should have left the staging to you as it seemed to slow down in the finals. Now if I could get you to make more axle benders so I don't have to use derby works tools I might be a little more competitive. LOL really appreciate you guys putting on the race.

Thanks to everyone that made the race possible and helped with race operations.

Zeebzob (Andy), Goatboy (Ian), Quadad (Mario), Mr. B (Steve), and E3 Jr (Benjamin).

Thanks John (DD4H) for putting up $25 of DD4H credit for the winner in each class.

I really appreciate the opportunity to race on a 63 foot track in preparation for the upcoming NPWDRL Nationals.

Also, thanks to everyone that participated in the Eliminator Challenge.

I also wanted to say that I really appreciate the opportunity to race on a 63 foot track at Zeebzob's in preparation for the up coming NPWDRL Nationals.

Andy did a great job with the live feed and filming. Ian did a great job staging cars. Mario and Todd put in a lot of miles hauling cars from the finish line back to the start. I took photos and helped Ian in the staging area. Thanks to Andy's wife for baking some great pizza and Mario for picking it up.

Thanks to John (DD4H) for providing gift certificates an Ian for making the trophy's.

Thanks to everyone that participated in the BASX race, the Eliminator Challenge and the Unlimited class.

I'll start to post some pictures soon!

Alright....I really need to clear one thing up!
My wife merely pre-heated the ovens. It was ol' Zeebzob that baked those pizzas! I'm a bit of a nazi when it comes to cooking a pizza, I usually don't let the wifey touch them. She has a bit of the "eh, it's good enough" attitude when it comes to that bubbly cheese. On top of that, I don't think she could have done all three at one time Like I did
I think the confusion came in because I had her carry one downstairs. As I prolly would have dropped one if I carried two at once.

It was a LOT, LOT of fun ... and yes, I can verify, Andy is in charge of the pizza. Not sure how much else he gets trusted with around there, but, pizza is one of them.

Only thing that would have made it more fun is if we would of had a bunch of Street Rods gassing out on that massive length of track.

very interesting race to watch, wish i would have got cars ready to go but had other things going on this month, hope to get in on the next race at the zeebzobs speed shops national headquarters, i learned some, mostly that cars fast in the 42' are fast in the 63' too, from what i seen cars ahead at the 42 only gained more lead in the next 21

thanks to everyone who put on this great event
on to nationals

Ahh... I stand corrected! They were awesome Andy!

OK...Gravity X's cars were misrouted by the USPS and didn't get here until Monday. I raced his cars against some of mine to give him a baseline on the 63' track. I think it's interesting to note that the times are slower today. I think its because its much more humid today than it was on Saturday. But at least he can compare the times of his cars to cars that ran the other night.

Thanks Andy!

I appreciate you going above and beyond to get this done. Looks like I still have some work to do on my Unlimited to catch up with the big dogs. A few more tweaks to the BASX and I'll be running right there with the leading BASX cars.

Thanks again!

I am starting to wonder if the super light ELIM and UNLM wheels are too light for 63 feet. My good cars really slowed down in the last 20 feet. I was often ahead at the 42' mark, then others immediatly caught up and passed me. I know TXCHEMST said it shouldn't matter, but now I am not sure his calculations were correct in this case. I think perhaps that a heavier wheel's momentum might be an advantage. But I am not sure maybe I just didn't prep properly.

Opa - I'd hazard a guess that there is something else happening, and not at all having to do with the wheels' rotational inertia. No idea what, but not that. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif
