Well here are the 3 builds going on in the house for 3 Cubbies.... Crazy times during this time of year....

A while back I had asked about pics of anyone building a truck.. Well GX tossed a very beautiful Dodge out there and my son Loved it.. So he asked for a Truck that can run fast... He wanted to know if we could do (The GX build) but make it light and thin. Hmmmmm.... Now this kiddo thinks I can work miracles...

THANKS PAUL!!! /images/boards/smilies/thumb.gif/images/boards/smilies/wave.gif/images/boards/smilies/thumb.gif/images/boards/smilies/wave.gif.... Your Truck Inspired us to do something different this year..

I had an opportunity to help out a couple of other Scouts in our pack since they have been going through some tough times right now...

Eli is the youngest of the two brothers... He asked for a MU car only because his brother Loves KU....

So the big brother asked for a car that could have KU colors... So here we went again this year using the Red, White & Blue...

Thanks for all the advice and great tips on the Forum.... Will be interesting to see how these cars will be running this year....

Thanks a bunch!!!!

Nice ! ! ! !

I really like that truck !

I am glad to see that you are helping out other cubs, Papa. I really enjoy helping out the kids like this. My son never followed my footsteps through scouts, so I was deprived of helping him, but I have been helping three cubs this year, and my local Lowe's asked me to come help them when they have their Pinewood Derby Workshops... I kind of stumbled into it when I was getting stuff for my tuning board, and they asked me to hang around and answer questions... then they asked me to come back !

It really is a blast helping kids who either don't have the things to make their cars or the parents to help.

Great job !

Thanks .. Guys....

Most of the work is not me though... The boys were introduced to a belt/disk sander this year I was able to borrow... They had many sessions of using the files, hand sander, Dremel, scroll saw & sanding until they got the shape they wanted... We had many get together's as the minds of 7 & 9 year old only stay with you for 15-20 minutes if you are lucky... So they had many play breaks to get them focused again...

MOJO- Yup it is a good feeling helping out these boys this year... The boys came over yesterday and we sprayed clear on their cars... That was a HOOT.. Oldest boy- Man this stuff stinks... LOL ... But when it dried they were jumping all around hollering it is shiny!!! Ah the Happy Dance!!!

I am excited for them and I hope they run well this year and who knows maybe they can advance this year to Districts... We have a lot of new boys in the pack so anything can happen it is going to be an exciting race season....

GX's truck and Ice's Superbird have been my favorite all-time cars...until your truck (and don't get me wrong, the other two cars you posted pics of are outstanding as well). You and the boys have some serious skillz.

Victor, anytime I can of assistance you just let me know. Would you like to see another cool looking one? Just kidding. That truck turned out awesome! From the sketches you first showed me to the final product. Excellent work! She looks fast just sitting there. Great looking cars too! Well done Victor, well done!

Paul- Thank You....

All of you are great builders and allow us to shoot ideas back and forth... The advice that is shared here is priceless.. Just look at all the hardware that Scouts & League Racers are bringing home. I want to build a truck to Bring to Mid AM as we leared a ton from this build. We are excited and the race is Feb 21st for the Pack... I will keep you in the loop for sure... Thank You again Paul & The rest of the Racers here at NPWDRL...
