If that's the case then there will never be a top 50.. only the 20 racers that's on the list can compete against each other.

Anyone can join the list as long as they are a member of John's forum. In order to get on the list, they first have to get past the "Bouncer" John's car at the bottom of the list, then...

To quote the rules....

New to the list:
1. If you don’t qualify for the list initially you can race your way onto it. To get on you will have to beat “The Door Man” to get the last spot on the list. “The Door Man” is the gate keeper of the list and will be available every Monday night to challenge to make your way onto the list.
