Here is my 1st try at 3d design and printed ladder body. 4.75" wheel base with 1/16" shaved on dfw side with nice smooth taper towards rear. Came in heavier than I wanted at 9.5 grams. Have to figure out how to lighten it up.

It looks nice. Wondering how much weight you will loose after thinning out the front of the body down to a thin wedge and drill axle holes. Might be a gram or 2. If that happens you are golden with what you have I would think. Finish prepping that body for the build then weigh it. Looking forward to your R&D.

I was thinking I be ok...a set of basx wheels would be 9.8 grams and 4 grams for the axles brings me to 23.3 grams so that leaves 5 grams for vinyl cover and 4 oumces of tungsten cubes

Well I didn't print it with enough infill and axles wobble around in my drilled holes. Either I inject the holes with epoxy and re drill or I print the body minus the axle ribs then print the axle ribs separately at say 80% infill and then glue them into the body.....

Then again I might just find a local wood shop with cnc and give them my 3d model and have them mill me some lol
