While waiting for my cars to come home from the Nationals and for my new DD4H parts to arrive.
I started this hand carved body from a damaged box stock Pinecar block.

I might not ever be the fastest on the track, but I'll always be pretty /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

Thinking BASX Class as it'll be build largely from leftover box stock parts.

She's perty all right....

Very nice...what color are you going with?

Im not sure what color yet. Whatever I have laying around or if I get co2 refill for the airbrush, I'll have more options.

Here's a nice "Before & After" shot. Top image is the other half of the block this was cut from.
As you can see I don't have a tool that can cut a straight line, it took a lot of filing and sanding to get from A to B.

I don't believe he is using the slots, even though they are seen. The tape covers the "real" axle hole at the front, similar to the rear with the toothpick. If I'm seeing this correctly.

Got it painted, first coat of clear down.

"SNAKE BITE"

Hope to get more CO2 for my airbrush soon so I can do better paint jobs.

Skills, man. When your speed catches up to your artistic ability, we're gonna have something to see. /images/boards/smilies/biggrin.gif
