Cool graphic! But... man that front end looks awfully narrow or the back is extra wide. /images/boards/smilies/biggrin.gif

Ya its more like a test car I tried to push the weight over a bit, Just playing with different things. I might have tried to send it in today if it was a little faster.

What is the image printed on? Is it a water slide decal, sticky back label paper, or something else?

Hey Ng, its 8X11 Labels then cleared with Krylon Crystal Clear. Check out my complete write up here http://www.pinewoodderbyonline.com/post/car-cover-labels-7005562?pid=1283717175#post1283717175

2 day priority mail shipping you are cutting it close. You would have to get it in today with the outgoing packages to the main sorting facility to get it their on the 17th. I think planning for your shipment to arrive the day of the event is kind of taking John for granted. I know shiat happens and we are fortunate that he has been flexible with making sure any car shipped out makes it to the event.

It's called over night shipping!! Far as taking JOHN for granted.. I don't think sending 14 cars is taking him for granted.. My cars will be there FRIDAY by 3. I guess I could just not send in since you think I'm taking John for granted!

After rereading my post, that kinda came out more harshly and pointed then I was intending. It was supposed to be more of a general warning that the 2 day shipping deadline is here or you will need to be willing to go the overnight rates.

Back to the topic. I did the label paper before and was considering trying some sticky back photo paper next time. Your design looks better then mine did the first time I did it. I had more colors in mine though and they came out more muted. The clear coat help bring out the ink more?

Well my color prints are all from a color laser from work, then clearing it helps too. I tried one without clearing it and it rubbed off way to easy. I guess the clear gives it a little shine though!

We have used glossy photo paper then clear coated. A very light wet sand (a drop of dish soap added) with 3,000 grit then scratch remover car polish then regular car polish.
