Hello everyone, hope all is well. The boys and I had a wonderful time watching our cars race on Saturday and congratulations to all the winners. We felt like winners ourselves with a car finishing on the first page in a pro race!
Looking to step things up for next month I have decided to add Red Rocket and sizzle to our pit. I believe the black ice system I’m using is the second series with 3 parts. For best results Do I replace #3 with rr or use in addition to? As far as the sizzle goes, I am planning to apply the same way as-hater sauce unless anyone has any other tips for applying.
Ohhhh yahhh, gett’n my sizzle on!

The new black ice systems have RR the older ones have the more liquid one. Anybody have any experience how the Sizzle behaves compared to the Hater sauce? Is the Sizzle much faster and are the both as durable and last for a while?

Hater sauce last for quite a long time from my experience. Can’t speak for sizzle yet but Dd4h doesn’t make false claims about his products as far as I’m concerned. I’m quite certain it’s similar or better! Application is my only concern, one oil may work better or worse with certain prep techniques.

Great discussion. Hope John pops in. I too wonder these things about the RR and the existing 3rd step polish already in the Black Ice kit. I have them all, just want to make sure I get the most out of them by using them to their fullest.

So .... Now that I’ve had some time, we took the slowest of our 3 cars to do some testing. Cleaned wheels in car wash solution, dried with compressed air and reprep axles with acetone and then jig . Put the car back together, set gaps and steer. Excited to run the car hoping for a miracle it ran ok for a bit then falls on its face. Now extremely frustrated I play with the steer and anything else I could think with all bad results. Take the car apart and reprep again thinking lint to be culprit. Test again and no dice. Now before throwing the car into a wall I give it one more chance. Took the car apart cleaned wheels with a mild dawn and reprep with RR also repreping the axles again. Put the car back together and bam it’s back with a vengeance. To make a long story short, the wax I was using did not work well with the new oil. Glad I didn’t give up
