Ryanh that's what I'm hoping for I told them I wasn't promising a 1st place car,but I would bet he wont be last. My boys had great success when they were Cubs 1st & 2nd was always between them two in their pack, & we always came 1st or 2nd in District. This car has a few new things I've learned (all legal for Cub Scouts)sence when my boys were in Cubs; so I'm hoping for a good car; going to test it tomorrow.
tested car today it was the straightest running non-canted with no steer in front car I have ever built & ran some good times to not have canted wheels too; also stopped by and showed the car to the little feller & family I built it for they where amazed with the car, now we'll see how it stacks up on Saturday
the little man got 2nd place after some tight racing they tied 6 times running the same identical times & having to run the cars backwards to get a winner
I moved back to my old neighborhood in Denver area after being gone for 20 years.
Two boys who I helped 20 years ago, now in their 30's, showed me their old cars and trophies, still placed on their fireplace mantels. Some memories last a lifetime.
