Angling Fenders

I've scrapped my first two sets of three fenders for my first "real car"....when running fenders, do you:

a) angle the side of the car to account for the angle of the wheel

b) angle the inside of the fender to account for the angle of the wheel

c) leave the outside of the car and the inside of the fender straight and angle your wheel cut out

d) none of the above, this writer of this topic has no idea what he's doing....

Secondary question...if I were to run a full body fender, should I semi-periminately install a rough piece of balsa wood (only modifications would be wheel clearance) and then file/sand to the desired shape, or do all the work separate from the car body.

Thanks in advance everyone.

e) It doesn't matter how you get there as long as the fender lines up with the wheel while it's rolling down the track.

Secondary answer...right or wrong, that's how I do it. Attach rough cut piece to car and then shape it. Then I oversand it, ruin it, curse at it, cut it off, and then attach a new rough cut piece. Then the process starts all over again. Keep going until either it's right or you are so frustrated that your standards of quality slip to an acceptable level for it to pass inspection. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif
