The build on my sons car for District lost to an extended wheel base car.The car we built was a three wheel rail rider regular wheel base, BSA wheels with a com of around .87 .The axles polished to12000 grit finished with blue magic. The cant was 1.5 for front wheel 2.5 for the back wheels bent axles(graphite for lube ).The time on the car was 3.08 aluminum best track the other car ran 3.04.The steer was about 2.5" three feet.If we changed to an extended wheel base with a more aggressive com how much time could I pick up???How could we gain some more speed??This was our first build.

Drill your rear axle holes canted. Do not bend the rear axles. It takes forever to get it tuned when bending the rear axles.

Also was the top of the DFW tilted in towards the car or out? It will work either way however, tilted out is faster. I would also say that 1.5 degrees is not enough...My advice would be to take some time this weekend and read this forum and take notes! You will be AMAZED!!!

On the next build I will drill the holes. The top of the wheel is out, bottom is in and the car rides on the outer most edge of the wheel. What do you suggest to finish the axles for a graphite build???

Thanks for the help
