I don't need to start over. I have faith that both my cars will be pretty fast. Stumpy vs Sleepy can't wait.
Look Viz.....I'm gonna be honest .... I just can't wait to be in "The GO shop" again. Instead of using a hotel desk. I can only imagine what house keeping is thinking when they come in the room to clean. What the f@&$ is going on in here.
Plus lugging it in, lugging it out is getting old. Trying to be inconspicuous carrying a drill press, dremel on a stand and three or four tool boxes full of derby tools isn't the easiest thing to do. People tend to look at you funny.

Well..... good news, I got all four of my cars finished. That's all I have to say. Could not think of any good names so I stole some from one of my favorite movies.
Madeline , Nadine , Bernadene , last but not least Eleanor (my favorite car in the movie) She will not be my favorite come Saturday. Seems to be the slowest on a 35' track!? She better pick up in the last seven foot or i may be in trouble. Dresses, signed dollar bill and a can of Jig. Good thing we didn't make the dress bet ! All in all I had a blast building and talking smack. Vizual & Bracket lets light up the track in the AM class. Vizual, I did not name a car sleepy but there is a chrome and blue car, well it was supposed to be blue but it looks purple.
I believe her name is "Bernadene" Lets call her "Sleepy" And we will go from there. Good Luck Boys !

Ok...I built a new car for SS AM. Calling it TwaughtHammer. Its running OK. Should be sub 3, maybe even sub 2.99

Well the good news is I'm very optimistic about the things I learned with my 2 new builds. I just ordered a crap ton more stuff off of John I hope to have 4 cars entered for the next race. I have so many new ideas based off of things I tried in this last build. I almost cant wait to get the car back just so i can smash it take the goods out of it and start building new.
On a side note my care looks pretty damn cool. I can't wait to see what it looks like "not speed" going down the track.

Tedbull, that car is a 2.970 at least on appearance alone. You obviously have earned some skills on the RC stuff!

I need to up my PWD game. Currently I test my steer on my dining room hardwood floor. I have a cheap drill press and no router. But I am using a silver bullet now. And I use a end mill bit to cut weight pockets.
The best thing I bought for the hobby was a porter cable bench sander. Man has that saved me some time shaping the bodies. The band saw I bought is not fast enough for wood. The scroll saw I picked up is low end but works, and I use that for cutting my fenders.
Here is my wish list of things to buy:
1. A 2 lane 35' Besttrack with champ timer. Going to cost at least $1,000, probably wont happen anytime soon.
2. I need to build a tuning board. DD4H graphic with glass top. And leveling feet to dial in the levelness and slope.
3. A proxxon drill press or mill.
4. Legend axle bender.
5. A benchtop band saw with a faster blade speed.
And then a whole lot of build time, trial and error, and post reading.

All, I want is a Besttrack single lane with timer. I got everything else. I keeping wishing and wishing and wishing for one, but nothing happens.
