Found a (new to me) lube the other day and got me to thinking. Everybody is looking for the next Jig, could this possibly be it? I doubt it, but I haven't seen it before and wondered if it was as good?

It's called SUPERSLICKSTUFF. By Protexall. Website is superslickstuff.com. I don't have a track so I can't test it. So even if I bought it I couldn't tell if it was any better. And I couldn't even find a MSDS for it. Anybody tested it and care to share their findings?

Yea, it's already become an expensive infection!

Anybody tried it? I will buy it and ship it to you if somebody has the ability to test it!

Base oils, solvents, inhibitors and additives make up 65% of the total volume with the rest being propellants. The solvent would have me worried as it might react with the wheel bore adversely. Wouldn't know until it is tried. Use up those old wheels for testing.

My logic is this, if it is easily available and mainstream it has prolly already been tested. This is a new product that isnt all over the place and prolly hasnt been tested. I try to think outside the box but yet keep things realistic and try to not loose site of the goal.

One red flag is the following

  • Reduces Extreme Pressure Friction
and nothing is said about typical friction.
Many times a new lube will come out on You tube with a startling demo to convince you it is the next sliced bread- ignore them-but if it shows up in

gun lube discussions +1 ( but not usually low enough viscosity for pinewood, most are high pressure applications that Might have use at lower forces) P.S. this company Does make a gun lube

Ski stuff +2 ( some interesting things)

Bike chain lube +3 ( way closer, but still usually too high on viscosity- however both Krytox and the old Blue can spray had first use and manufacturing for the masses by a bike lube company)

Some of have enough Jig for the next 10 years.

Trying to find silicone percentage in Mo-Deck, too. Does it even have silicone?

Is the percentage of silicone in Jig what makes it so good?
