I believe there is defiantly a balance of jig to oil. To much of one or the other and your times will be effected.

Hard to balance the amount of a spray /images/boards/smilies/wink.gif. Also, Kinser, if I shake the can for a half hour, while singing the national anthem, on 1 foot, in G minor, on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, 4 days before the race, while your wife is yelling at you... Will that gain me 0.02 sec?

I'm not referring to the can. Search for shake and see what you come up with. /images/boards/smilies/biggrin.gif

While only rowing your canoe through the desert on 4 flat tires while covering up your little brothers cousin with pancakes! Would gain you at least .02 sec of not .03!!

Use the force young padawan... Confucius say If you shake it to many times ....... your playing with it!!!..

Now is it effected in a good or bad way..... he did not say .. The riddle continues to get your mind going...

I have tried Jig with some many things that is said is not a good thing, now it's back to the drawing board.. But will seek the knowledge through the words of wisdom on here...

Hey guys, on the Jig...

My boys and I are trying to do it properly this year and got some super build advice from the great guys on here earlier! /images/boards/smilies/thumb.gif

So....we did everything we could correctly on the build, got John's video, polishing products, etc, tried to follow the steps and just recently realized I have the new version of Multi-use, don't think Jig is available in my area (heard its discontinued?). I have some other products such as Sailkote, telflon non-stick, Blaster dry lube. Checked the usual box stores for Jig and no luck. Race is in a few days and don't have time to order.

Was thinking of the Sailkote and then lightly polish with cloth?? Is there another chain store that carries Jig? Any suggestions with the stuff I have? Run with no coating on axles? Any other products to substitute with?

I ran oil with Sailkote last year and had ok times for our pack at around 2.50 on a 35 ft track.

We spent a lot of time on the rest of the cars so far this year, hate to blow it for the boys with some new lube that stinks. lol

I searched the forum but no real discussion on it that I found for substitute...seems like this subject may be touchy?

PM ok...any help would be greatly appreciated! thx

It's discontinued in the states, but Canada has it. I think you can order it through the manufacturer as well. Let me see if I have their contact information.
