Army Jeep derby car

So as a scout leader, I like to show out for my scouts with my outlaw builds. Last year, I saw a link to a PDF that showed how to cut out parts for a Jeep build. I wanted mine to look like an army Jeep. This is what I come up with after two days in the shop and a day playing with paint and what not....

That is very cool. I specifically like the steering wheel! That had to be very time consuming. You built this in two days??!! I would still be looking for my tools...very impressive. IMO though, if you built something Air Force, it would be faster..haha just kidding!!

The steering wheel was actually the center of one of the pine car brand wheels. I cut the tire off of the wheel and used an axel to hold it in place. By that point in the build, I didn't feel like trying to cut out a steering wheel on my scroll saw.

The trailer and the gas can, where both built free hand without a cut sheet. Everything else had a scaled drawing letting my know exactly what to cut with my scroll saw. The following link is what I had to work with...
