Hey guys ...... Ready to build my first wedge. Question for ya. With the current DFW wheel set ups, is the width between the front wheels the same as the width between the rear wheels. I remember at one time reading that their should be a 1/16" difference between the the front/rear sets. Are cars running this way still and if so, is the 1/16th taken in the front or rear? Also, do you modify the gap between wheel hub and body or make the body 1/16" narrower? Thanks.

Most still cut down the front DFW body of the car 1/16 narrower.

The spacing between the back wheels should be wide enough so the two rear wheels never touch the track rails.
So front spacing must be less that the rear. Several ways of doing this, but it needs to be so.

Maybe more than 3, but possibilities:
Cut the front of the car 1/16 th narrower
Use teflon spacers on the rear wheels
Often, if the DFW is canted in, and the rears canted out, that will do it.
