I would like to try my new 92 axles and wheels but I have #44 drilled holes.
I saw in another post about using a reamer to do this, but would I ruin a good drill job by
using a #43 in a pin vise?
The ones I have polished have an obvious step down where they insert into the body. I believe you are correct Paul. DD4H's website calls for a #43 drill= .089" for the Dynasty axles. Zeeb didn't mention if he was reaming a wood body or a plastic insert with the .0915" reamer on his unlimited, though. If he's using a one piece rear axle I could see where you would want the hole nearly on size to ease the install.
Sorry for the swerve off topic OP! I would use a pin vise and enlarge the holes if I were in your position. Just let the bit follow the existing hole as you gently turn it in.
