Axle polish substitutes

I am short on time and I cannot find my axle polish. Is there a recommended substitute? Or do I skip this and just add pledge as the final prep and hope there is an opportunity for a redo?

How high of grit sandpaper do you have? If you have up to say 10,000 or 12,000 you can stop there.

What are you using for the bore polish? The same polish many times can be used on the axles. Just make sure you give the axles a good bath as to remove any residue.

I did 12K and then a clean strip of soft leather.

I have red rocket polish and wondered if that would would work.

I believe Red Rocket is the bore sealant step. It is not an abrasive.

You will be fine stopping at 12K grit.

I think this comes down to the cars are about to race and my thoughts go to so what else shoulda, coulda, woulda I have to get that last drop of speed.

This is a new pack for us so I do not know how others are in it but we beat them at districts and council races last year.
