axle prep--graphite to oil

Going to try oil after all the scout races are done, have all the products ready to go.
Can I just clean off my already prepped axles (used with graphite cars) and clean with
alcohol?
Then use Jig, and a new net of wheels.
Just wanted to make sure the axles that have been used with graphite would be okay?

I do it all the time with no problems.

You won't have a problem. If it were me, I would probably do another final polish just to be safe. I don't think graphite will do much at all to the stainless steel axles but I'm a little particular.

Best way to get graphite out is follow theses steps..
- Warm/Hot Water with old style blue Dawn dish liquid
- Get several pipe cleaner cut to 2-3 inches clean with soapy water then clean water do this step several times.. After they appear
To be clean wash gold
- 91% alcholo with 2-3 inch pipe cleaners clean really good.
- Repeat step one to remove Alcohol film..
- Them your ready for Wax...
Make sure they are free of graphite before starting wax process..
