Gulfport Ms.
My wheel bore prep has been found lacking. Always polished with Novus 2 and called it good until it was time for the graphite. Have recently been schooled about the importance of bore sealing. I know there's a bazillion speciality products for this process but is there a preferred off the shelf automotive product alternative ? Asking for a friend,,,,,Naw not really, I just don't know what's out there.....Thanks.

There are several automotive products that get mentioned on occasion. I have even thought about trying some of them. I know that one of the favorites costs around $100 per bottle. Guys around here have spent many hundreds of dollars trying new wax and sealers. There are even several threads talking about these specifically. The experts are always trying to gain that last little bit of an edge. Most of the time people need to improve and perfect their own process before venturing out to try something new.

Because of the many recommendations and its proven success with both oil and graphite, Red Rocket seems to always get the nod. I know that it has worked well for us. Both with graphite, and now with oil.

Rejex

Amazon is practically off the shelf.
But I doubt REJEX is for sale on a shelf any where near me.

So I did a search, An aviation store has it , about a 40 minute drive if no one else is on the road.

Maybe I should check it out , who knows what else is on the shelf.

I've been looking on the wrong shelves, since I do not own a boat or a plane. It never dawned on me that they have the better stuff.

Works great on my boat, plane, car, and for pwd wheel bores. You should try it on you wheel bores and car. Maybe you'll own a plane and boat some day too.

I work with people with boats on lakes and on the coast. The amount they spend on upkeep alone was no joke.
Only guy I new with a small plane was detained by the DEA for flying a package from the border to back home. Was a car part.
Either way , when people mention products they usually lead me to either an aviation or boat store. Just never really had a need to be in either one.
