Best Speed To Drill Axle Holes

Is there a preferred speed for drilling axle holes? My Proxxon has three to choose from 1,800, 4,700 and 8,500.

Good Question! I go slow, but that doesn't mean anything.
Does the Bit wonder more at slow speed or fast????

I reduced the speed to 1,800 and I think that will work better.

a drillbit at high speed is more stable than a low speed one. i go high speed with slow speed penetration.
