Sheltering in place, Billy's family was gathered around the big screen anxiously awaiting the debut of his newly formed Do It For Dale Racing team's Intimidator to take the track. Being a loosely built ex AWANA car with 5 discrepancies working against it he was told by many to forget about a sub 3, just build a new one from scratch.
You could have felt the jubilation from South Mississippi (AKA The Sipp) all the way to Eagle Mountain Utah as the little car that couldn't laid down a 2.9949 off the trailer and ended the night with a 2.9960 average.
The good news: With some hard work 4 of the 5 discrepancies can be corrected and over come with the exception of the original body platform. Thanks to the Do It for Dale pit crew...you know who you are !!
The not so intimidating Intimidator however, topped off the night by winning the speed axles door prize. Thank you John for the door prize !!
As with the post Civil War reconstruction of the South (we're still a tad peeved how that one turned out) let the reconstruction of The Intimidator begin.....we're Doin' It For Dale Y'all, we're Doin' It For Dale !!
