I have also had luck using a band saw to chop up the foam then I glue it back together to fit my cars. Ultimately I needed a method that made less of a mess and this worked for me.
THANKS CR.....I just heard a way to do the wheel holes is to glue a round piece of rough sandpaper to the face of an old wheel. Use the inner hub neck to chuck it in a drill press and Git er dun !! LOL LOL
