There is nothing sweeter than a black car, but as in real life, they are hard to keep looking "perfect" My hands get sweaty and finger prints show up. I also noticed as most of my racing is done proxy that a light colored car is easier to spot on the hill and much easier to see going down the track. You do have excellent video at your races so I don't think seeing a dark car is as big of a deal for you as it is for me.

I usually opt for very bright colors. My 3 new ones are, florescent yellow/white/orange (HR66), florescent yellow with a little black (Mod), and a Florescent PINK/ White one!(Stock) LOL That car will later run in the Breast Cancer awareness race, hence the pink color.

That is one good looking car Owens Racing.............good luck with it!

Great looking car Owens!!

I do the same thing with the color of my cars. They are always light colors so I can see them better..... it's the tricks of a forever proxy racer/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

That looks great! What size set screws do you use? Do they take an allen wrench, torx or standard?

They are 4-40 x 1/8" long set screws that take a .050" allen wrench.

I've come to hate gloss black, and wasn't planing on doing this one in it. Like you said, it's now covered in fingerprints and the foam in the shipping box dulls it. But when it came time to paint, I didn't have the colors I thought I did and had to go ahead and use the gloss black/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

Reminds me of an SR-71. How did it race?

Hasn't raced yet, but I just got done testing it and it's MUCH better than the car I ran last month.
