Hey everyone again. I am SO sorry to spam the boards with questions. I promise I searched before hand for the answer. And I apologize for the newb question, but...

How do I polish the bore's of my wheels with household/Walmart items? I've done an extensive search online and can't find how it is done exactly, most online information and videos on youtube show polishing the bores using kits. I know these kits are probably superior! But if I can't afford them, what can I use and what is the process I would use? For example, I've read to use Qtips, but not really HOW to use them, which end, etc...

Again, sorry for the horribly simple question! And thanks in advance for help.

From what I understand Qtip shafts can do more harm than good to the wheel bore. This leaves you with the pipe cleaners....problem being most pipe cleaners at wal mart are the regular thin type which can also damage wheel bores if you snag it with the wire. I'd say best to save some $$ then buy proper polishing kit.

Try here ... while the link is to a system that works, the video will show some great tips.

BTW, this bore polish system is considered by MANY to be the standard to be tested against. I am positive that while the Pro's have their own system, they probably are stilll very similar to this.

Remember that everything affects everything else!!! So if you use a different polish, then you may need to change the speed of the drill. Likewise a different polish may require a different fit tamiya swab.

The exact system used by each pro most likely is slightly different. They test and find what works for them. So it is a bit of a gaurded secret.
