This is how I make my car cover labels.
UPDATED Again: Word to insert Picture (someone requested)
1. Laser printer or color Ink Jet
2. Shipping Labels by Avery 8.5 X 11

3. Protectant spray: Krylon 6-Ounce Crystal Clear Acrylic Coating Aerosol Spray

4. Some type of photo enhancement software. I use Photoshop CS5
5. Art work = Google Images
6. Test the image on a plain piece of paper printed in Black and white first.
Note: all images are slightly larger and you might have to CA the edges sometimes.
Some are pretty easy, you can snag any image in Photoshop and force it to be 7 X 1 3/4"
1. start a new document in word
2. Turn on Grid lines and Ruler - click View and put a check mark on Grid lines and Ruler
3. Set Margins: Page Layout Tab, click Margins, select Narrow
Note: look at how many grid line there are per inch and plan accordingly.
4. Decide now if your want your type Horizontal or Vertical. (horizontal ok) lol
click on Insert tab, Shapes and select Rectangle and click and drag your size of your car in there.
5. Color or Picture,
Note: to insert picture
a. click on the border of your shape (so it is selected)
b. select format tab
c. select Shape Fill
d. select picture
e. navigate to your picture select it and click insert
f. if its not the right shape remember you can print it larger and then cut it out.
Note2: insert Color
a. click on border of your shape (so it is selected)
b. right click the shape and select 'Format auto shape'
c. selct your color and hit OK
6. To add Text, right click and select 'Add Text'
Note: you'll have to play around with it to figure out the text Height and placement. Hint for Text Size select text then right click it and
change in the pop up.
