1. Is Coach's secret lube a type of silicone?

2. It says on the bottle something about replacing after 8 months. Is this a gimmick to get you to purchase another bottle? I've used my bottle for 2 years and still have plenty.

Any thoughts on this form of lube would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

OMG... Just looked this up for the first time. His lube looks like something I made before, which is not faster than John's lube. He probably has Kytox 100, but cut it with alcohol to give it that blue color. His application of it onto the axle and wheel is terrible. BUT then again, that's probably why you dont see him race as an adult. Sure he can probably win scout races, but when you've done your research, who can't? I'm not the type of person to bash what they're trying to do or sell, but his statements on his home page are ridiculous. "Our Record Holder World Champion Race Car." "Blackhawk 500 race is one of the most respected and prestigious Pinewood Derby© races in the United States." Anyone can make these claims, problem is they're used to sell products and they're not true statements. Looks like he had a good year in racing. That's great, but don't blow it out of proportion with your claims...

Gee, 5Kids... It sounds like you know the guy.

In answer to the original question, based on ODD's interpretation, the lube is likely fine. Test it and see.

Yes I do! His kids are older now and off doing bigger and better things. I know how fast his car was which gives me an idea how fast his lube is which tells me it isn't fast.
