This one I am calling Crystal.

She has everything but power windows.

I made some disks that fit inside the wheel and attach to the car. These disks are hollow so that I could fill them with powdered tungsten.

I swear Opa, It started out as a .25" plank, but it soon spun outta control.

Realized that with the weight inside he wheel area, I could go thinner back there.

Most of it is able to be unscrewed to change things around like the weight placement, body, axle body.

There are slots at the rears to allow different materials to be switched out for the glides.

I am using the 5 Kids DFW axle body for steering, and set screws on the rears.

The steer needs to be adjusted as well as a few minor things. Now onto the wheels and everything else.
Sorry about the photos.

Thanks Rocket!

I like that "Gettin Naked" a lot.

I appreciate the way you used the wood grain to get the maximum from it.

OFF THE HOOK!!!!

That is one Awesome ride!!! Now that you have done this one what it going to be built next? Can't wait to see Crystal run... Very Nice Job!!! Looks like you will set the bar for building some futuristic cars now....

cool

Thanks Papa V,

I have a sister car that is half there, made of wood. (Ashley)

Maybe she will get some tiny fenders.

Thanks again,
Joe

Just awesome! You should make some fenders out of acrylic.

Thanks guys,

Thanks again 5Kids for that post on the "DFW axle body"!

It is such a cool idea. I added a couple of set screws onto your idea.

One for the axle body, and another for the axle.

It works pretty well without either. Lol

The acrylic fenders I have made are pretty clunky.

Perhaps in the rear it won't matter so much.

I have been thinking of vacu forming some Vivak for up front, but I am afraid that it will act more like a flag/ sail than fenders.

Perhaps I have to just get more delicate with my acrylic.

I am happy that I have some time until the next race.

Thanks again,
Joe
