Dawes Family Cars for 2012

Here are the cars we made for our Pack - District - Council... Mid-America Derby Races this year.

We had our Pack Races today and we did very well... and we even broke the 3.0000 mark on a 42' Best Track with Champ timer...

Great question on the Fenders I did them out of Balsa -- they were light but darn they are not easy to make It took me a bit to figure it out and then when I was all done with everything I realized that the left (non-dominant side) fender would drag on the rail and I had to make minor modifications to each one... I have not done enough testing but I believe that the fenders did help our cars times improve from previous builds.

There is definitely a art to fenders. My first few set actually slowed the car down. Once I got it all figured out they are faster, and help keep the car stable.
