Does anyone know the outer diameter of the Mid-America cut of the Nitro wheels from DD4H? At the moment, I do not have the scout car with those wheels on it and need this information to get to get Gravity's wheel covers. I would suspect the outer diameter would be the same as the basic Nitros, but I am not totally sure.

They do! Need an ID measurement to determine the correct size needed for the aero shield.

So then why does BRegal want the outer diameter measurement?

/images/boards/smilies/confused.gif If one is using calipers to measure the tread thickness, wouldn't they be able to simply measure the ID with the calipers, rather than the inherent problems with "measure OD, measure tread thickness, multiply that times 2, and then subtract from OD"?

I was gonna ask this, but figured I was missing something obvious...

Oh I agree, but you just never know how much squeeze someone will put on a set of calipers when taking measurements. Then I get wrong measurements, build the wrong size aero cover and now it rubs. Less chance for error if I get an OD at the spoke area and then measure tread thickness. Yeah... long way around. It has worked good for me thus far.
