I got an email refunding my order from Derby Evolution. I guess the website was sold.

My questions are

Were their Air Guides what everyone used on Street Stock builds?
and
Is there someone else that sells laser cut basswood bodies? My skills and quest for perfection making my own bodies have me a bit frustrated.

It went up for sale 3 or 4 weeks ago on Facebook I think, but the Derby Evolution page has been taken down, so you can't see the old post anymore.

It will be interesting to see how things turn out...

Everything you need to build a great race program can be found at Derbydad4hire.com

Maglev said he ran one in nationals so I ordered one as a template to make my stuff better and possibly use. Tolerances mean a lot in racing, that's how Jeff Gordon's team beat up on everyone in the late 90s. I can see how a laser could be bad on basswood, but it's pre axel drill. Most of the 1/4" basswood I see at Hobby Lobby and Michaels isn't top quality either.

I don't think any of the top racers are using the evo fenders. Most are using balsa.

I have a couple of those laser cut balsa bodies. I use one of them to trace my cutout lines on the bottom of my blocks. It's great for that!

My guess is Joel is the one who bought Derby Evolution.
