DerbyDad and Mid America. WIN PRIZES!

I cannot remember if it was alread covered or not? But what should we use as far as marks for staging? In the registration notes it asks for preferences on staging. But with 4 wheels on a car it might not be obvious what is the DFW. Should I mark next to the DFW? In the notes I just put "daylight between DFW/Rail"

Ted... in regards to staging the instructions you might provide in the pro entry - as we will take the time to stage them however you would like, but with having to run 300 cars in the adults - kids - and scout divisions there is not a lot of super precise staging... we line them up square with the track all wheels squared to the track and let em roll about every 40 seconds.

Check out the the posting in the npwdrl section on how to mark for staging. John is going to the race live and will stage the cars if you follow the instructions in the 5kids staging post.

* How much steer do you guys suggest for the staging Gregg described? Right now I am running 4" over 4'.

* I remember that thread but could not find it last night. I will search again.
*EDIT* I found it. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I'll also be there helping with the staging. I would recommend you use the system that 5kids and John put together. We will do our best to stage the cars as requested. This is going to be one great event. The best of the best going for it!!!!

OK NPWDRL RACERS... those of you that wish to represent and run against racers from other leagues, and many currently not involved in league racing - now is the time to - get registered - in talking with John - who will be bringing many of the cars directly from his race this weekend - you need to get signed up and registered so that we get your cars checked in and ready to race... this again will be an Epic event to see who is the fastest... you can get registered by going to the website and clicking on the register now link. www.midamericaderby.com

My first time proxy racing and first Pro race!! Racing Street Stock. My car arrived today at Mid-America, ready and waiting for next Saturday May 4th. Hope to crack the top 6.... Props to Greg Dawes for all his work and team to make this event happen.

John will you be staging those cars from this weekends NPWDRL at the Mid-America this week? If so, could you please stage mine with what typically works best at the NPWDRL? I have no staging marks on the car. Thank you!

Those were some pretty cool segments there Gregg. Looks like you cringed a little when the guy picked up your boys car by the fender/wheel. Your kids did realy good on the show too. I am looking foward to watching the race from home. And hoping our cars do well. Good luck to everyone.

Congratulations Gregg, what a great promo not only for the Mid-America Race this weekend but also pine wood derby racing in general. Outstanding!!!!!!

I had talked to Greg yesterday. So if your watching from home, the racing should start by 10:30 with the qualified scout followed by open scout, open youth, open adult. the finals will run in reverse order. I don't recall the order of the pro cars. They will be running at the same time on a different track. If I understood him correctly, The pro will be on the NPWDRL live feed while the scouts will be on the MAC site. Hopefully there's plenty of bandwidth available. LOL

Well more than likely won't be getting cars out to the race this weekend. For some reason my cars showed up at my house today. The only way for them to make it out there in time is to Fed Ex them. Checked on the price to overnight them well let's just say that I can spend 58.00 dollars for something else. I was really looking forward to the race. Now I got to get my registration fee back.

Talk to Greg what a very nice guy. Sounds like they are going to have a lot cars out there. Good luck to all those that make the trip. Maybe next year.

Guess I am going to have to stream the scout races on the puter for the boy. And hopefully I can stream the pro races thru NPWDRL on my smart phone.

That sucks. Did USPS make the mistake?

I apologize for this. I thought I told everyone to leave a note in the box if they wanted the cars to go with me. The guys sorted the boxes while they were unpacking and put the ones with instructions in a certain spot. It is a whirlwind going on here. I probably should not have even offered to take them with me. I can get you a discount on Fedex if you want to send them.

I wish they were allowed to be on oil, if they were my boys cars would have been there. Sent a couple SP's and Eleminators.
