I'm was prepping my wheels and axels for nexts weeks race with dupont and oil {first time doing this} and when done they only spin for maybe 5 seconds. I'm thinking they should spin longer than that right?

I let it dry 10 to 15 minutes should I let it dry longer? I have the blue thunder to put it has kinda turned to wax, I thought about putting some of the wax on a piece of leather and prepping the axel with that on a dremel and kind of melting it on the axel.

better try again tomorrow and make sure I did everything right, has to be better than this one turned out. If not I might be sending in a mighty slow car

I read that, but it surely spins longer than 5 seconds or so right? I don't know never tried the oil process before.

I really don't know. I honestly have never done a timed spin test.I just assemble and do a little spin while listening and feeling for iregularities. Maybe some body else could answer that. Sorry.

it did have a white coating on it after it dried, what do ya do different to keep that from happening

Hold the can directly upright. I would do a reprep.

I'm also an axle spray rookie (I only run straight oil right now)...and I'm confused why holding the can directly upright would eliminate the white haze on the axles, since the angle of the can has no bearing on what is being dispensed...unless you are near horizontal, and get all propellant out...

There is no break in on the jigga.

As far as holding the can upright it is so you get a consistent spray. With the blue I just do a quick spray let dry 15 min or so than look at the axle. Mine usually had a light white haze coating you don't want a thick coat!! Slide in the hub 2 drops of lube than about 4 break in runs and you should be good.

Does the jigaloo break in faster than the blue thunder?

For our Awana car, we had the same issue with blue thunder. It seemed too waxy. After drying completely, we put a drop of blue thunder on a piece of the Selvyt cloth, let dry and GENTLY wiped axles. Keep in mind, we didn't wipe the coating off. More like very gently worked it in by slowly spinning the axles by hand in the cloth.

We used DD4H oil and spun the wheels. They only spun for about 5-7 seconds. So, I know how you feel. You're not sure whether it's fast enough. Once we started racing, I knew EXACTLY how fast we were. I'm sure the track had to be shortened, but our first 4 times were 2.85, 2.90. 2.92 and 2.9080 on our way to 1st place.

If you follow the steps that are outlined on this forum, you definitely won't be slow!

Ahhh...makes sense. Shaking the can extremely well and often should eliminate any can angle issues, since the contents would be homogeneous. If anyone is wondering what the contents of a Blue Multiuse can look like...here it is:

...one of the many benefits of working at an aerosol company...the ability to disassemble them safely and pour out their contents /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif Now its just going to be shake and dip...no overspray /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

Hey can you do that with the Jiga too???
