Difference In Times

I just got done watching the Street Rod video. Some very good running cars. My Kudos to the builders in this class. I have a question...........why is there such a big difference between the cars that made it to the finals in the prelims and then to the finals? The cars ran a lot faster in the finals.

Usually, but not always, the cars will pick up in the finals because they're running with faster cars.

My WAG is that aero plays a lot bigger a part in this class. In the finals, the cars are pretty well drafting each other, vs. in the regular races where cars like mine are leaving a gap in the airflow.
