Team K, show them a pic of that Street Stock you had there to, it was sweet also. A very talented builder.

Awesome cars!
clap
Nice paint!
cool

But I do have to ask about your paint holder. Once you are done painting one side, do you just flip the car over to the other post (in the background), rotating the car on the "fixed" axle, so you can then paint the underside? If that is how it works great idea! I've been looking for a way to make painting easier.

Yes that is exactly how it works. I start by painting the bottom of the car and then just flip it over and paint the top.The paint stand also turns so you can paint one side turn and paint the other side.

I think everyone has to find a way that is comfortable for them...depending on how you spray and what you are spraying with, Rattle can, paint gun, roller, etc. I make mine look super shiny as well and I have been accused of the car not being made out of wood, so I use a square piece of wood that is taped to a 2X4 so that it looks like this kinda ___| Then I double up some really good 3M masking tape and stick the back of the car on that. It leaves the actual wood for everyone to inspect and shake their heads (its kinda funny to watch). For me it works well as there is nothing in my way to spray around.

I loved the look of those three cars and was bound and determined to build one. I was just starting out and thought I would certainly place in the top 3 my first race................WRONG! I ran that car 3x and finished last every time. Kind of funny now. I have mods that run faster than that car ran and it had bearings!!!!!! So K Team Racing...........it looks like you have the skills, you just have to get some speed! Actually you have the hard part down!

My Dirt Nasty II car was orginally built for a RA race at church which it did very well.It was after that when I learned about the NPWDRL races. So I just changed the RA wheels with some thin wheels I got from Maximum Velocity. Had no test track so really had no Idea how either car that I brought would do.But I do want to say thanks to everyone who has offered me advice and good tips. Not sure if I will use the cars I have now or just start fresh with the things that I have learned. The race in Troy NC was my first and only NPWDRL race and plans right now are to go again in August. If I can get a way to test I may send a car to a race before that.
