District race this weekend 3/16

Did you leave your lights on over night? I saw them staging your car while the web 1's raced and your rear lights were on.

We spend the entire 2 months building the car so that my boy doesn't get frustrated. Sometimes we spend 5 evenings or afternoons in the garage just cutting out the body.

Look up Lightninboy's real alignment video on here. It is a huge part of our speed I believe. 2 years ago we came in 7th Place at Council using all stock parts and bent axles. Last year we came in 4th with aftermarket stuff.

You must be running oil. We use 3M Dry-Type silicone on the axles along with the oil.

We hooked the battery to it before we checked it in at 12:30 or so. Unfortunately, the wires are so small that one came unhooked and one side only had one light lit up. We'll have to try and fix that for Council. The wires are built into the body so if I screw it up soldering I could do some real damage.

They're still on now and will be on for over a week if we don't unhook the battery. You could even mail in a car in for a league race with the battery hooked up and it will still have power for race time.

So what am I missing? We ran a total time of 14.5746 but when divided by 6 we get an average of 2.4291. What's wrong with my thinking/calculating?

You did very well. 2nd Place in our group had a total time of 14.9455.

It appears that they are dropping the slowest run, so you'd divide by 5. (The 5 was pointed out, but not quite the why)

I have all my times on my phone camera, I will add them up and see if it matches the total time posted, then drop the slowest time and see.

Dave - Normal? Depends on the venue and the choices made by the people running it. Dropping the slowest time (and/or the fastest) is an available option in the Grand Prix Race management software.

I think it's a more viable option on a wood track, which would tend to be a bit rougher and would have a greater effect on the different runs. On a Best Track, it is likely being used because there was a button available to be pushed.

I hear ya'. I haven't seen it done at any of our races but this apparently is a new setup. I think for this track it was a good decision to drop it because some cars really took a hit at the seam. Thanks. I was scratching my head thinking I needed to apply some new, fancy math to get the numbers to match up.
