Do I need to let the wheels cure after initial prep?

I am using the DerbyDad4Hire Zero Friction Wheel Bore Polish kit and have Red Rocket. I need to re-prep a set of wheels. I wanted to know if I need to let the wheels cure before I burnish and install the wheels. How much cure time is required?

I have wheels from last year that I did minimal prep and seem to get longer wheel spin time using graphite. So I am thinking I did something wrong with the wheel prep. I know I messed up the axles by not wiping the Pledge of which might have left a residue in the current set of wheels. When I wiped down the axles the cars got a little faster.

The Red Rocket should have a cure time in the provided instructions. I'd make sure to let it cure for the appropriate time before burnishing.

However, some folks burnish their graphite into the wax. I'm not sure how you'd want to go about it if you choose that route, but maybe somebody will chime and and say.
