Does graphite go bad with age?

Does graphite lose any of its properties after 3-4 years?

If you keep it dry- no. But many blends that add moly (molybdenum disulphide) can get slower from room humidity alone. This is one of the lowest cost things you can replace often and give away your old stuff to someone else. win-win

We prepped and were all ready for our race March of last year and then everything got cancelled and shut down. The cars have been sitting for over a year now and the race is finally a go for this weekend. The cars are not in my possession so I can't take the wheels off and redo everything. Would it be recommended to try and add additional graphite as best I can to the axles while the wheels are on or just leave everything as is and hope for the best? I guess I'm kinda curious if the graphite has broken down with the cars sitting for over a year or if it isn't anything to worry about.

Have someone add & tap & spin in as much as they can.
Clean the treads well before it hits the track.
Since you don't have the cars that's really all you can expect to be done ?
