I use the holes in the base of my Dremel drill press to hold the bottle of oil.
I've done that too! I've also used the "spare" bolt holes at the base of the bench vise as a backup when the Dremel base was not on the bench. Now I just use the tool I mentioned above.

I had made a holder for my oil out of a small block of wood but I wasn't using it when I tipped the bottle over (again). Luckily, the bottle is very near empty already so none spilled out. Since I just ordered a fresh bottle from John I decided I would make a new holder that was a little more idiot resistant before it shows up. A short length of 2 1/2" aluminum bar stock works nicely and is heavy enough that I'll have a hard time turning it over now!

I think I should drill four holes in this thing to hold the axles when I'm assembling a car.
idea

The more you play around it, the more chance you have of dumping the next bottle over. Just be careful... LOL

BR, that's a great Idea! /images/boards/smilies/thumb.gif

Mojo, this is why I try to keep the cap on the bottle. /images/boards/smilies/cool.gif

Yeah... me too... I still spilled mine when the cap wasn't on... LOL I hate those tiny bottles.

Great idea BR. Like let me know when you start taking orders!

OK! But I'm not taking money this time. I'm only trading for speed tips!
smile

When I get the next one done, whoever sends me the best speed tip in a PM gets it for free! I'll let y'all know when it's ready.

I've got the aluminum pucks, now to get the time... thanks for another iron in the fire BR.

Glad I could help!

But don't you be hornin' in on my tip mining here! lol

My oil got put into an empty Nyoil bottle with the steel needle tip. It really goes on nicely.

This seems like an excellent solution, as it both kills spills and allows for more precise application. Is there any reason one would not prefer a needle tip bottle?

A 10-pack of needle bottles (more'n anybody'd ever need, I reckon) isn't too spendy.
