Gulfport Ms.
Have heard a lot about the Lemon Pledge routine when using graphite. I read somewhere there's a generic version of it at half the price called "FAVOR". Both are made by SC Johnson. Some have claimed to use the same wheel/axle prep and compared the 2 products with better speed gains using FAVOR. Deal or no deal ?

No deal. Stick with Pledge unless a top league racer said otherwise. It's a $2 difference....

Most of us race oil so it's going to be hard to get an answer that I would trust to your question.

Thanks BRR....Im in a graphite only class. just saw FAVOR on a single post somewhere boasting a .06 advantage but I've never heard anyone else even mention FAVOR, besides there's too many other variables that could cause the .06 difference. Im either going to stick with Pledge or try Sail Kote....Thanks again !!

We liked using Sailkote, and my last graphite cars that I helped with, one had Sailkote and one with Pledge.. The Sailkote car won, but not by .06! I'm not saying that was a test at all, because, different cars and they had other factors there with the cars in why one was faster over the other. I have never tested graphite cars like I do now with oils cars, but I think Pledge would be good and you can get it almost anywhere.

I just switched from Pledge to SailKote. I found a Marine parts store that had it, so I got some to try. I can't say which is faster, but I do believe that SailKote is very good and seems to be more durable than Pledge. With my primitive testing methods on my test track, I am convinced it is as good, if not better than Pledge. Also, I don't have any concern about it being a silicone free dry lubricant. (I am a Scout Car guy with Scout Car dry lubricant rules).
