Drilling axle holes

So I need some feedback/help. I'm doing my first car using the block. I have walls and clamps to make sure the wood is tight against the block and no movement. I drilled all my holes and it went pretty smooth. I tested the car with 3 wheels and a weight like johns video showed. Going forward both rear wheels moved out like they were supposed to. When I put it in reverse and tried only 1 moved out. So I'm guessing the side that didnt move out wasn't drilled perfect? So do I just throw that block away? Use wood filler and drill again? Or do you think it'll be fine. This is for a scout race, not the pro level.

If you find yourself needing to drill another set of holes turn the block of wood around, end of end or upside down, and start over. I typically start with a 1/2" thick block of wood and you can get as many as 4 different locations, fill the holes you don't use. You can get 4 separate drills, if done correctly, don't scrap the block because you drilled wrong the first time. Hope this makes sense.

But like the Godfather said move the wheels around, you just might get different results. Good luck!

Well I didnt wait for a response because I have the bug so I made another car. Family members have their own race so I'll be making 3 cars, I'll get back to that one for myself. Here's my first attempt at a "thin to win" design. Ran into problems with cutting out the 1/16" on the DFW side. Suggestions how how to do that would help. Ended up being like 3/32", think that will be a problem? Let me know if I should do anything else before I put it all together!
