I know this is a favorite topic already, but got these rules today from Cub Scout District:

"Any and all dry lubricants are permitted but must be applied before car is impounded"

Thoughts?

Do the final prep (i.e. JIG-A-LOO) the night B4, and oil and install wheels that morning. If proper steer is a problem, install the wheels at least one hour after JIG, the night B4, should be OK. Then set steer. If you are unfamiliar with JEG prep, post back and someone will explain. Point - wait 1 hour before mating to wheels.

I assume axel and wheel bore has been previously completed. I.e. work up axles using 1000 to 12000 grit wet sand paper, being careful to not over reduce the size of axles more than 1,000", expecially if using BSA axles (which I would never use, if possible - too many axles on the market that are made so you cannot tell then are not BSA. Same with wheels.
