Working on first set of eliminator wheels, (they are holeshots). Ordered them late last fall and just getting around to working on car. One side of wheel (where the axle goes thru) looks pretty good and the other has some machining debris left. I have cleaned it up the best I can and will put the smooth side to body?? My next question/concern is the bore itself. I have used dd's no 1 bore polish and the bore has machining grooves across the bore. Is that normal with these wheels?? I have not polished with No. 2 yet as I wanted to get feedback before proceeding. As I stated this is my first attempt and purchase for thin wheels and did not want to screw them up.

Are they the XS2's? What your describing sounds like it. Don't overwork them, they'll look a bit rough on the inside but they should be fine. It's just the type of material they are made out of. The new G.O.A.T. wheels are much better. Changes in technology happen pretty fast. Don't worry they can still be fast, if your prep is right.

Kinser,
yes they are the XS2's...I figured I might as use what I have.....not much resale value in old technology.

Sorry about the duplicate post title...as I hit the post key by accident before I typed anything. I made an attempt on the other post to redirect.

thanks

sounds like the norm for those wheels, i have about 12 sets laying around and all are like that. i have only had one get a crack in it, they are incredibly durable.
