Hi everyone,

This is my first post and I wanted to say thanks to DD4H, Bulldog Racing, and others for all of the hard work you have done and the information you have shared. I have 4 boys that have all gone thru Cub Scouts starting way back in 1997. My third oldest (10) and youngest (8) went head to head this year and with the many videos and information found here I was able to help them win. They were able to set and break the track record 4 times during the day.

The cars are 1/2" thick body light weight ladder type, with Nelly fenders because they saw them on google and thought they looked cool. Mold matched BSA wheels #2 that were prepped with DD4H #1 and Red Rocket, DD4H Dynasty 92 axles polished with ZFA kit and sealed with krytox and running graphite as per local rules. Our track is a Piantedosi 32' wood 3 lane track with a microwizard timer. They were set up as close as I could get them with out my own track to test them.

They both ran 9 heats, with one running 2.4756 and the other a 2.4936. they blew the doors off the other cars. But my question is how they would do on a BestTrack at 45' instead of 32'.

I'm gonna say it first, because I know what all the pros are gonna tell you... Send them in to the NPWDRL & find out! Your just in time, the kick off race is Feb. 13

I was going to say the same thing! I'm glad you did so well. It's how it starts out for a lot of us. We see the potential and then get a taste of victory. Then the search begins for other venues to race and which will eventually lead to pro racing. Let me tell you, once you race with the big doggies, you'll never wonder about how you'll do at a scout race. It's all about the level you are willing to push yourself. It's a fun hobby it's tried and trued and aint going anywhere. Young and old we all love it. Send the speedster in and give it a go brother! Great win!

NoobRacing71, there are so many variations from track to track that it's hard to say what it would run. I can tell you though, since our Pack race is also held on a 32' Piantedosi wood track, after racing against these guys for a couple of years my son's scout car ran a best of 2.452 this year for the win. On my 42' Besttrack it ran 3.03's, on the league track last year it would have registered a little quicker time, maybe .015-.020 faster.

+1 on sending one in, it's fun!
