New Items Finally! An optically clear wheel cover!

I have been running wheel covers for over a year now and am very please with the results! It has helped to add .003-.005 of speed to my cars without the sway that running tungsten wheel weights are known for. Every one of my winning Street Stock cars has utilized the wheel covers. These new wheel covers have optical clarity making inspection of the lettering a breeze. They are ideal for both league and scout racers. I was also informed that they are approved for use at the Mid America race. The caps are designed for wheels that are mounted forward. If you need Reverse mounted wheel covers, GravityX will be offering those along with the necessary hardware.

I'm asking $30/set of 4 shipped. If you would like to order multiple sets, contact me and we can work out the details.

Thanks to The Iceman for his inspiration on the original wheel covers. It was exactly what this plastic man needed to get the gears turning.

Please PM me if interested or if you have any questions.

Thank you!

Great Job Brian, they look amazing! I'll contact you to get me some sets. Thanks for making them and sharing with us. Keep up the good work.

These are awesome!!! I've got a few prototypes worked out and waiting for an OK from the Mid-America group, for the MA wheel that is ran in reverse. As mentioned, these kits will include axles, hardware, tools and most importantly, OPTICALLY CLEAR shields. Stay tuned!!! Available here.

Nice job. I think it was Bracket Racer that ran optically clear ones first if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks Chris! You may be right about a clear cover being previously run. I've only been racing a couple years now and don't know the complete history of PWD. You could also consider the clear packaging tape that I believe that Carolina Gravity posted to be an optically clear cover.

Racers were contacting me for wheel covers and many of them wanted an optically clear version for scout races. So this is what I'm offering to fit that request.

The covers are very easily mounted and each one is predrilled to center up on the wheel. All you need is sandpaper, CA glue and a spare axel.

PM me or post here if you have any questions.

Thank you!

Looks awesome. Is there any way I can get a prototype to bring to our next MA meeting next month? I've been looking for something like this for MA. Congrats guys.

In speaking with Greg Dawes and showing him several pictures of this, he has given approval of the cover that you see here and the MA reverse mounted wheel, shown in another thread.

They sure look super!!! That is just what I've been looking for, please put me on the list for a full set of those. Congratulations!!!

True, but I only made mine to fit the raised wheels. Looks like Brian has them all the way around! Nice work Brian!

( Oh, and mine were 100% recycled content since I'm cheap! lol )

Thanks to everyone that requested the clear wheel covers. The response was much better than I expected. While I had planned to spend this week building cars, instead I have been hammering out the wheel covers. If you haven't received tracking information from me yet, I will have them in the mail no later than Saturday!

Thanks again!!

Don't know if any commented on these, but these covers are ABSOLUTELY fabulous. Installation / alignment was as easy as it gets. And saw a .006 boost in speed.

No wonder why Brian's been winning all this time /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif
