Fired Up, what do you use?

What do you use to seal the wood grain before painting. I've got to paint my team car and would like to try something new.

Kinser I use CA glue on top of all my cars. I use my finger and spread the glue out and let it dry then sand down to smooth surface and paint. It works real well for me and the glue helps strengthen the wood.

I use Deft laquer sanding sealer....couple of coats sand with 400 and your ready for primer...

Cars painted with sharpies are faster...

Do you use the aerosol spray or the brush on stuff? Or maybe it doesn't matter?

I would recommend the aerosol if all you going to do is seal pwd cars, just for the ease of, but it really doesn't matter.

my natural wood cars I use min wax sanding sealer apply with a foam brush then several coats of polyurethane 1st then lightly sand with 600 grit sand paper between coats of polyurethane
