Hello Everyone,

Well it is pinewood season again and time to defend the Jersey Shore Girl Scout Powderpuff Derby title. Nothing like waiting till the last minute, race is on March 11th. Been a little behind schedule because we bought ourselves our first house right before Christmas and we have been moving and painting ect. But I managed to put some plywood over some milk crates in the basement and set up temporary shop and here is my first attempt at cutting ladder style bodies :

I made 2 bodies because there arent any rules posted so i made one with an extended wheelbase and another one in case they call for using the slots. going to use 1/64 birch plywood for the top of the car but i wanted to sand down the front of the cars to give them a sleeker look. havent drilled the holes yet , was going to wait until i get the top glued on and the weights put in. Any suggestion on weather I should drill before or after I shave off 1/16 for the DFW axle???

I am also planning on using 92tx axles for the rears on both cars and bending a stock axle for the steering. Any input and discussion would be appreciated. Best of luck to everyone in their pack and district racing seasons.
