My sons troop runs a 42 ft track our best time is 3.041 trying to beat that next year

This can not be overstated. I have only been here about a year. I have spent several hundred hours reading many of the posts back to 2012. While reading, a pattern will start to emerge of what woks and what is recommended. Just keep in mind that some of the things recommended in 2012 are no longer the current recommendations. However, they would still work. Also reading thru this progression helps a person to see which way PWD is headed and helps to have forward vision/thinking about new ideas.
