Ok, I can only find a few, a very few references to this, and I'm hoping someone will shed some light on it.
What is "Ghost Graphite"?
From what little I've read, it's some kind of oil based lube that looks like graphite, basically it's a cheater oil. Is that correct?
What is this stuff made from?
How well does it work compare to regular oil, or versus graphite?
Are there any tell-tale signs it's been used on a car? I would assume applying additional real dry powdered graphite would gum a car lubed with this stuff....
Where does one get this stuff? I can't find anything on it anywhere on the internet. Is there some black market PWD store that carries it? Or is it some home-made concoction?
Just looking for info, I'm helping inspect cars at an upcoming race with rules for graphite only, I want to know how to detect this, if it even exists anymore.
