I think you're taking this all too personally. There is no need to edit the original post or keep changing the subject. No one is looking at you for starting any controversy, sometimes things just take on a life of their own and take off in unintended directions. Whether or not that happens is something out of your control. The OP was innocent enough and I can appreciate your trying to get builders more actively involved. For whatever reason, car count was down. That's gonna happen from time to time. Maybe some builders are strapped for resources right now, whether it be cash or time or even both. Maybe some builders are just focusing on the Nationals. Maybe some are just burnt out right now. Some of these variables are out of our control.
If we all really want this hobby to flourish, go talk to people local to your area. Get some new faces to send in a car. If you listen to my podcasts, a few episodes back I mention how there are a lot of new racers coming out of Wisconsin...but the fact is, there are 10 known racers if we lump Goat Boy into that and only 7 are actively sending cars in. Wisconsin has a population of 5.7 million. I've never claimed to be super strong in math, but that's a fairly low percentage.

I really thought it was a pretty constructive discussion. Some finer points of running a small business were discussed. There was some debate about whether the discounts were healthy for the league or not. Then it got into comparing costs of other hobbies. Even though the discussion ran I think you still got your answer from John. It sounds like he isn't ready to make a standard bulk entry discount for the league at this time.
I think most of us know that you have definitely done your part supporting the league with all the cars that you have entered even with your current hiatus. I understand that you were mainly just trying to see if the discount being brought up over the video feed was actually going to get legs. I can see where some of the responses may have come across as questioning your motives but I think you made it pretty clear what you were asking. The tone of peoples responses really gets lost often with text and I don't believe any were meant to be negative.

My dad who is in the above pics has been watching the last couple ice series races with me. I started racing with him as a cub, well he's getting the bug by watching the fun and competition. The other night he went to a cub race with me to watch a kid who I had helped out. Needless to say he'll be building his first Street Stock soon, JBD, Sorry for posting the golf pics I wont do it on one of your threads again. I respect you and thank you for the help you have given.
It's no biggie man... I love golf.. When I was playing 3-4 times a week I was carrying a 4-6 handicap... Now I wiuls guess it's about a 10-12..
